3 things to know before buying your next office chair

1. The foam in the seat cushion is the most important part of your chair.  Test it by checking the weight first.  The cheap cushions may feel soft out of the box, but they wont last.

2.  The mechanism should feel smooth when you recline.  Can you adjust the tension easily?  Check to see that you are able to lock the mechanism in at least a couple locations.

3.  The armrests should be adjustable.  This is critical for your health.  Chronic fatigue is caused by unsuported arms.  Shoulder and neck problems persist because of this easily fixable problem.  Make sure the armrests are adjustable.  Up and down is the minimum.  A multi-axis adjustment range is the best ergonomic solution.
